Applicants are required to meet one of the following criteria with a competitive result, and demonstrate that they fulfill any prerequisite requirements and essential requirements for admission:
Recent secondary education
Complete secondary qualifications equivalent to DSE, or with other equivalents
Higher education study
Complete or partly complete a recognized higher education program at a recognized higher education institution
Vocational Education and Training (VET)
Complete an award from a registered training organization
Work and life experience
Relevant work and life experience with certified documentation
Essential requirements for admission
English language entry requirements
In addition, in the aviation industry, English is essential for communicating and manual reading. A sufficient English level of reading, listening and speaking is important. Possession of one or more of above qualifications, in addition to the academic entry requirements, does not, in itself, guarantee a place at the Hong Kong Aviation Training Center. Applications are considered on an individual basis and selection is competitive. Students need to go through the internal Multiple Mini Interview process for assessing their English level and skills of communication.
Where previous study/work experience was conducted in English, the application must be accompanied by certified documentation from the educational institution/employer certifying that the language of instruction/employment was English.

The Diploma in Aviation Services & Safety Operation provides a great foundation in the field of aviation practical flight operation including safety and services procedure. Whilst some airlines prefer you to have an interview with experience, we provide our students all you should learn before starting your career.
The practical training component is offered during our diploma. In this course, you will learn from our experience airlines trainer and instructors. Going through all the procedures of safety, security services and more in our facilities and our partner facilities.
In your studies, you will also learn language & etiquette, service operation, safety operation, Aviation Case studies, communication, human factors, crew resource management together with the most important - the interview preparation.

For the practical training component of this Diploma, you must physically fit to attend due to safety issue.

You will undertake general studies in aviation services operation including an introduction to human factors and safety management systems. learn to become a cabin crew or aviation services provider and be guided by industry professionals who have trained people for the world’s leading airlines.
As your studies progress you will explore more advanced and theoretical areas in services language & etiquette, service operation, safety operation, Aviation Case studies, communication, human factors, crew resource management together with the most important - the interview preparation.
You will also study fundamental of aviation communication and aviation management. Study at a HKATC that includes practical drills training in services & safety procedure like fire fighting and evacuation drills within the Diploma.

Rule & Notes
For the practical training component of this Diploma, students must be physically fit to attend due to safety issue.
Discipline of our students is one of the top priority in Hong Kong Aviation Training Center. Training Center policy, rules and regulations are set for our student's reference. Students who do not comply with our rules and regulations may result from an oral reprimand to dismissal from our training center.
Practical training is required for completing this program. Students who do not take up or delay the Practical training, you will not be graduate the Diploma in Aviation Service & Safety Operation until finish the all practical training session.

For each course you study, students will need to allocate time for various classes such as lectures, tutorials, workshops, seminars and practicals. Plus you will need additional hours to study in your own time to complete assignments, readings, projects and contribute to online e-learning. So as a general rule, if you are studying full-time you would need to allocate 15 – 25 hours of study when at our training center and 15 – 25 hours of independent study per week.
Your studies at HKATC will incorporate both practical, professionally focused and research-based learning, so assessment types will vary.

Over the next 20 years, the world's airline fleet will grow at an average rate of approximately 3.5 % annually, driving the need for more than 36,000+ new airplanes valued at 5 trillion dollars.
Growth is being driven by emerging markets such as Latin America, Asia-Pacific, low cost carrier and sixth freedom business models*.
4 to 10 cabin crews needed to operate one aircraft at a time, 4 to 5 set for fully utilizing one aircraft, it will make a significant number of flight attendants needed in the future. According to the forecast numbers given untill 2032, the airlines need to employ the number of flight attendants required to satisfy for the growing demand in new arriving aircraft, but they also need to find a replacement for staff retirements and natural resignation.
With the third runway project, forecast of potentially 280,000 jobs opportunity in the aviation field.
